We will start off with self-awareness this week. Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes. We judge others instantly by their clothes, their cars, their appearance, their race, their education, their social status. What gets me is that most people decide who another person is before they have even spoken to them. What"s even worse is that these same people decide who someone else is, and don"t even know who they are themselves. 638-558: the self has been of great interest to philosophers, theologians, psychologists and scientists. Socrates, plato and aristotle some of the earliest scholars of the mind debated the existence/location of the mind the seat of self-awareness . Conscious process when we ponder who we are: intentionality purposeful, doesn"t happen by accident, must know self in order to understand others, involves cognitive, affective, & behavioural components.
