Diversity is a process of change, affecting people in similar and different ways. Culture is dynamic (not static); it can change. Shared: individuals agree on the way they name and understand reality. Symbolic: often identified through symbols such as language, dress, music and behaviours. Learned: passed on through generations, changing in response to experiences and environment. Integrated: span all aspects of an individuals life. Culture is more than beliefs, practices, and values. It also encompasses all aspects of our lives.
