Colonization microorganisms present without host interference or interaction. Which is more likely to be colonized: surgical wound vs. pressure sorewhy, pressure sore conditions of wound is created in, surgical wounds are sterile. Four stages of pressure sores (not surgical wounds: redness, blister, first layer of skin break down, subcutaneous tissue break down, bone break down. Places for infection catheters, pneumonia, foreign device, iv, wound drainage. Inflammation of lung parenchyma that is caused by a microbial agent. Localized limited to an area i. e. wound only. Systemic affects entire body, potential for organ involvement. Infectious disease host displays a decline in wellness due to the infection.
