John (rn) needs to administer sc insulin to one of his patients but he wants to leave for his break. One of the psws on the unit is diabetic and regularly gives herself insulin. John tells the psw to give his patient the insulin dose and she complies. The patient receives the insulin from the psw without being harmed in any way.
