Document Summary

Others thought the earth was shaped like a cylinder. The medieval thougth the eart was lat like a leaf. About the shape of the earth, some people are right, some people are wrong; people disagree what the truth is, but they agree that there is a truth. The shape of the earth is a factual issue. Consider: some people think that slavery is a natural and right and morally god human insituion, while some people think slavery is an abominaion. Some people think that adolescent boys should have an older homosexual lover; that is the ideal educaion, while some people think that pederasty is a moral crime. Some people think that a brother or father should kill a sexually wayward sister or daughter, to preserve the family honour, some people think that honour killings are abominable. In each of these three cases we have our own moral preference, we call it the beter view or the right view.
