Can"t have access to each other"s conscious states. I can"t know for sure if someone has conscious states: immediacy. Yu don"t infer your conscious state, you just have them: incorrigibility. You can be unsure about the mode of a conscious state--- you may mistake imagination for a memory: evanescence. These things come and go: spatial oddness. Phantom limb: spatial extension vs. spatial location. We feel reasonably confident that other people have conscious states much like our own( even if we cant prove it) Bacteria: how do we fit conscious state into the evolutionary story, conscious state and skepticism. All our evidence for the existence in the external world is internal is conscious states; some of these states seem to report an external world (perception) but they may be mistaken. Dreams: when you are in a dream, don"t seem like dreams: some matters of language. Conscious states, are not themselves material or physical entities.
