Willingness to follow argument wherever it may lead. Gadfly: doesn"t specifically state his own argument, or says what is right, but leads people to conclusions and their own arguments. Student xenophone: said he supported design argument for god. Believed he was on divine mission: help people discover their ignorance as a first step to wisdom. Socrates went to the man who thought he knew stuff. He realized that both were ignorant but only he acknowledged it. Blind ignorance: lacking knowledge and not being aware that you lack knowledge. Ignorance: ignorance in awareness of lack of knowledge. Wisdom: knowing and knowing that you know, and knowing when you don"t know.
