If the offence is not serious they will take the youth back to their family. Instead of taking the child in to be prosecuted in court, they can be sent to a community center that is ran by a non-profit organization oadvantages: Gives the offender the best chance for restitution to pay back the victim. Blocks the labelling process, hinders the stigma if the youth needs to go through the criminal justice system.
