Rehearsal - active: organizing, terms that make sense to you. Brain damage - evidence from cases (clive wearing) Can remember old things but not newer things. Remember how to do something but no memory of doing it. Items at beginning of list and end of list are remembered better than those in the middle. One concept leads to activation of other concepts. Forming an impression works better than memorization. Method of loci - imagery (i. e. map or location)
