Conservatives: suspicious of reason; favour sentiment over scrutiny. Classical conservatives: flawed human beings, hierarchy, tradition, anti-revolution. Contemporary conservatives: small government, free markets, strong military. Against the revolutionaries views of human nature, society, freedom, and government.
