Political Triage In: First Past the Post
• 2 step process:
1. Identify base and swing ridings rather than base and swing voters
a. Suburban areas are usually swing ridings

swing or battleground states.
2. Identify base and swing voters in swing ridings

Demographic profiling:
• Identify characteristics of voters who do or might support you
• Ie. old, white, male = conservative
