Plato wrote a number of texts: political: the republic, the laws, allow some luxuries, the feverish city, the laws defines a reachable and realistic city. Nature of the polity: urbanized/centered on city, loyalty to place, not person, head of polis probably agathos, but not necessarily related, smallish, self-contained.
