Exists via reason): no certainty that there is immortal life - cannot be proven by reason. Simple doctrines: "the dogmas of this civil religion ought to be simple, few in number, stated w/ precision w/out explanations or commentaries. The existence of the deity, powerful, intelligent, beneficent, prescient and provident; the life to come, the happiness of the just, the punishment of the wicked, the sanctity of the social contract and the laws: these are the positive dogmas. As for the negative dogmas i limit them to only one, intolerance: it belongs in the creeds we have excluded. " Good life: compassion | freedom | equality: human nature 1. 0 in the state of nature: our entire existence is free and equal, this life is not corrupt. Civilized society review: human nature 3. 0: corruption: corrupts our body from being buff, enervated by luxury, comparison predominates, amour propre.
