But this is increasingly difficult when you live in the commonwealth because of taxes and stuff: marriage also based on consent that exists before we have a community. Explicitly says that this can occur in the state of nature. Necessary to propagate the population, so it occurs even in the state of nature. Marriage has conditions, divorce can occur if these conditions are not met. Example of express consent: religion, god accepts that there is a covenant between god and humans. Hebrew bible or old testament representing a contract and jesus makes the new testament which is a new contract. Very opposite augustine, much more optimistic about humans. By submitting the deal with god, you get eternal life.
