Task of the supreme court before 1960 was the final court of appeal, civil cases. Work in the same principles of the british government (like an unwritten constitution) Historic rights of women and men: rights to participation, freedom of speech Duff suggested that parliamentary supremacy only worked if it was controlled by historic right values limited by these expectations we need some restraint for the parliament (parliamentary supremacy) Governments don"t give rights during a crisis. Detain someone without charge or reason do not have to present the body until 21 days.
