Nucleus accumbens reward and motivation: creates pleasure by releasing dopamine connection from the hypothalamus sex, drugs, favourite food activate this area, even predictive cues can cause the release of dopamine. Amygdala controls emotional response especially aggression/fear: stimulate one part may cause aggression, stimulate another may create fear can produce emotions without higher bran areas knowing , may be the basis for unconscious fears or other emotional responses.
