Most of the simulating subjects did not differ behaviourally from those in deep trance. For this reason, high hypnotizable individuals are used as reals and low hypnotizable are used as simulators. Maintains that hypnotic phenomenon can be explained in the same terms as social behaviours without recourse to any additional psychological constructs.
