For abnormal, must consider: funcional impairment, sociodemographic factors, developmental age. Heightened physical arousal, cogniive distress, and behavioural avoidance of feared objects/situaions/events. Comorbidity 57% of people with one anxiety disorder also have another anxiety disorder or depression. 31. 2% of adults will sufer someime in their lives. Most common disorder among all age groups. Discrete period of intense fear and physical arousal develops abruptly.
