Reena virk died on november 14, 1997 after a vicious beating. The transcripts of the trial documents the events that led to the tragic death of this 14 year old girl. During an exchange a student extinguished her cig on her forehead. Why might people be likely to fall under the influence of others. Conformity: a change in behaviour as a result of the real or imagined influence of other people. It is so powerful it overrides behaviors that support survival. The need to know whats right conforming because we believe that others interpretations of an ambiguous situation is more correct than ours and will help us choose an appropriate course of action ex. 2- they were paired with others and spoke aloud the results of this study showed that people were using one another as a cource of information, beliving that the group estimate was correct this can lead to.
