Peoples uncertainty about how much another likes them increases liking for that person. Four male college students were asked to rate how much they liked the people in the study. Rst group: told that guys rated high. Second group: told that guys rated low. Participants in the uncertain condition liked the men more. Participants rated members of their own sex and the opposite sex. When people rated their own sex, there was no difference in their ratings over time. Peoples attractiveness of the opposite sex increases as closing time gets closer. 27 women viewed red vs blue shirt man. Women perceived men who were in red as more attractive, higher status. etc. Women perceive red as a sign of status.
