Frog"s optic tectum: frogs dont have much cortex so a lot of vision is done in the optic tectum. Damage half the retina cells projected over the entire tectum. Damage half optic tectum cells projected to one half of the optic tectum. Chemoaf nity: chemical markers on growing axons are matched w complementary chemical markers on their targets in order to establish precise connections. Top dv - protein amphibian retina & tectum. Concentration is 30x higher in dorsal retina than ventral retina.
