Analytical psych back then they were using bad things because inferential statistics are new. Doctoral dissertation making individual contributions and understanding human cognition. Witner was ahead of his time but took a long time to take off. Pm used math to predict behaviour, very well known. He wanted to leave all judgments and just use math. For human behaviour we try and predict recidivism. Up until the 1950s we made judgements about projective testing. Half a century this discipline crept forward unsure if there was a niche to be filled. During this time clinical psychologists were doing applied research. Lewis truing did research on wwi determining who was appropriate to serve in the army. Pre 1945 there was only 8 models.
