Globalization is occurring as people and institutions across the planet become increasingly aware of, and dependent on, one another. Rapid movement of capital, commodities, culture, and people across national boundaries. When we buy a commodity, we often tap into a global commodity chain, a worldwide "network of labour and production processes, whose end result is a finished commodity" Its now easier to move goods and information across long distances. It takes less time for travel, therefore dropping the costs. Also the several means for communication allows us to reach people around the world inexpensively and almost instantly. Politics: important in determining the level of globalization. Politically isolated countries have less integration with the rest of the world.
