Breasts were separated and accentuated by the corset: women used to wear the corset as a bra. The cone bra - 1945-1950s: breasts were lifted higher and pushed together, there was also an inflatable bra from the 1960ss, you blow the cup up to the desired size. 1970s: by the 1970s, bra = patriarchal suppression, the 1970s describes the me decade -- women are burning their bras as a feminist motive.
