We as a culture have a preoccupation with sex. The way in which it exists in our culture has changed. We have a proliferation of sexual texts eg 50 shades of grey. The emergence of new forms of sexual experience eg tinder, bumble, cam girls. We have reconfigured erotic life to a location in the marketplace. We generally have a fondness for celebrity sex scandals, invested in sex related controversies. A moral panic around when girls start to explore their sexuality. From a young age this exaggerated femininity is increasingly common and something to aspire to. Marketing strategies for dolls means that young girls can have a weird fusion between girl and doll. Young girls have the image of what a perfect body is, who is considered aspirational. Feminine perfection is becoming more defined by the sex industry. There is a particular view of female sexuality that is celebrated through ads and media.
