Categories of privilege as well as oppression. Black women that have lighter skin as well as long hair may experience diferent privledges an experience doesn"t speak for an enire group. Medicalizaion as a process that organizes a broad and ever growing range of behaviors and aspects of everyday life into categories of health and illness. (hartley and tiefer 2003: 43) Medicalizaion conceptualizes, insituionalizes and reframes women"s experience of their bodies. A natural process that are seen as a disease pregnancy as atacking the body. Female sexual dysfuncion when a woman can not orgasm through regular sexual intercourse. Medicalizaion can oten put blame on the vicim instead of the issue or disease speciically breast cancer is seen as something that we individually need to prevent instead of focusing on the carcinogens on cancer.
