Document Summary
Read descartes" wax argument from meditation ii of his meditations on first. Philosophy, a copy of which is attached to the end of this document. In a very short paper of no more than 3 (but ideally closer to 2) double-spaced pages, do the following: reconstruct* descartes" wax argument, making clear what the premises are, and how they relate to the conclusion. *if you do not know what a reconstructed argument looks like, please see nick"s lecture notes, especially where he reconstructs a number of plato"s arguments. It is best to number discrete premises so it becomes easier to point to the rational relations between each premise and the conclusion throughout your analysis! You should devote one concise section (likely only a paragraph or two) to each of these tasks, and avoid offering anything like a general introduction or conclusion. Submit your argument analysis to the dropbox on myls by 11:59pm on the due date.
