A deny to anything that is negative happened to them. Without resistance, ageism becomes entrenched in the structures of our society, as policymakers unwittingly incorporate it into policies. It"s important to stop these kind of practices that upon us. Ageism, like sexism and racism violates basic human rights. Butler (1989) identified interventions against ageism in the u. s: one of those interventions is about how elderly being productive. Ex, how indigenous elderly provide for their communities: sharing knowledge about elders being productive. Eliminating stereotypes - diversity of social roles: these roles make big difference. We need to do better ways than just promoting 3rd and 4th agers. Indigenous culture knows if they lose older population, they lose knowledge and wisdom. Eliminating stigma - increase integration: we need to integrate more into our community, the more we integrate, the better we are overall in terms of our humanity.
