Criticize the viewpoint of praising and blaming tech, thinking of tech through control and dependence . Technological objects are not defined in terms of intrinsic properties. Actively constituted as if they are discrete entities or thinged but they are not. Tech determinism is not helpful, we are criticizing it because tech is not separate or distinct from the culture in which it is used. We cannot ignore tech though: they make a difference in a context i. e. vaccines are really good at protecting the lives of children. We want to think about how we understand tech to matter. The network of connections allows us to get away from thinking the meaning of tech lays in the tech itself. Tech is not made up things, can"t reduce it to tech itself. We should think of tech as : culture, systems and processes (protocols i. e. going to the bathroom) Stability and enduring way of doing things.
