Feudalism is still present in certain parts of the world (ex india, pakistan) Ottoman (1453-1922, middle east, eastern europe, north africa) Empire: a system of governance forged in military conquest (as opposed to the freely given consent of people) (orend, 10) Foreign rule that is either direct or indirect.
