During a party one night, they accidentally signal a privateer with a gunshot. The privateer who was searching for rackham captured him. Nov. 16 1720 jack and the crew were put on trial. Nov. 28 1720 bonny and read were put on trial. Jack and the crew were executed, but the two women were not as they were pregnant. Read later died of a disease and bonny was not heard of in writing. Illegitimate child, born to a maid and man (not wife)
