Document Summary

Answers: the idle no more movement is an organized act for change regarding environmental degradation and indigenous rights. The goal of this movement is to understand economic/social inequalities in society endured by indigenous people and provide fair, just, solutions to these issues. The impact social media has had in this discussion has been critical to its success. The idle no more movement has been empowered greatly through social media and this argument quickly became a popular topic of discussion in other forms of media. I find this approach extremely effective as first nations people do not participate on these social media platforms and therefore have not had much of a presence or involvement in that community. This expansion of awareness for indigenous perspectives and rights is detrimental to today"s society and staying on the respectful side of change: there for sure is underlying truths and a serious point made with drew.
