Most people believe that the physical world is the only reality there is. Metaphysic philosophy tries to determine and quesion what real actually is. Democrats believed that only the things we can touch or feel are reality, therefore only mater is real. Hobbes believed that the human body is merely just a machine, they did not believe in a consciousness or any other human ability such as joking, sarcasm, etc. Barkley believed that reality is made up of both consciousness and mater. Jonathan swit was also an idealist, door example. Everything within the world are just ideas, they require knowledge to make them what they are. Anything we can"t perceive can"t be real . William james and many others try to interpret things by inding their pracicality. Language is simply a tool for survival. Darwin put humans on the same level as microorganisms. The world is completely external to human beings, we are independent from it.
