Pluralistic ignorance: use others as a reference, if no one else is doing anything maybe i"m over reacting and don"t need to do anything. Diffusion of responsibility: somebody else will do something. Good samaritan law: protects people legally who is trying to help someone in good faith (ie) think you are stopping a mugging so you punch someone, turns out to be a couple ghting. Social in uence- presence of others impacts on us.
