Finding salvation is predicated on three key ideas. First, there exists an ultimate reality (brahman, orgod), present everywhere and in everything. Second, there exist humans, each of whom consists of a body and an atman or soul. Third and most important, humans can achieve moksha or salvation, the release of their soul from samsara. They can do so by performing various forms of dharma, or sacred duty.
