Definition : people helping people and those suffering. Qualities: its universal in its scope. If you feel compassion towards someone, that compassion/ feeling is not just limited to that person. When you feel compassion for one that feeling tends to be a feeling for that person but for other people or things as well. Compassion for son or daughter, parents want the very best for them. Because they have compassion for their child, they"re bound to have that feeling for all children. Peace, happiness, good feeling to practice compassion, most people when they do it they aren"t looking for some sort of reward or payback. Sense of feeling with someone instead of for someone. Expressed in almost every religion, the idea of the golden rule. If you identify with a person, you are more likely to connect with them: empathy. Whatever the object of my compassion does to me, i still love them.
