A brief background in west: eros (ancient greek/ roman god) (known as cupid in latin) was the god of. General definition: desire to unite with something and to have it unite exclusively with you, desire to unite with something for your benefit, has a selfish quality to it, erotic love is self-centred. It seeks to bring someone to you for your own pleasure: lust, cupidity: a person who chases after things to make them mine , erotic love is not a synonym for sexual love. It includes sexual attraction, material consumption for one"s own benefit: another quality tends to have a recurring quality to it. When people feel erotic love for someone or something one might get what they want to possess, but the feeling of longing/ yearning will always come back, switching its target to something new: satisfying desires and wants.
