What universities were considered the historical centres of sociology in english-speaking. Scientific and systematic study of human behaviour in societies. Looks at their social interactions also within institutions. How group life affect each of us as individuals. Sociology: the disciplined and systematic study of society, social behaviour and the social interaction. Especially the investigation of the origins, classifications, institutions and development of human society on a global level. Systematic because sociologists apply scientific research methods to examine social behaviour. Our ways are patterned and even though a decision may be a personal decision like attending university there are also many factors that play into this decision. The sociological perspective: seeing the broader social context. Our choices are limited by the social conditions in which we find ourselves. Human behaviour is a response to the constraints and opportunities which are given to us the moment we are born.
