Leadership- how people are managed within an organization. Strategy- the decisions made by business managers about how the company will address political, economic, global, societal, competitive and technological forces. Four internal challenges/forces: structure- a planned network or pattern of relationships that exists between individuals in various positions in the organization. Includes the formal hierarchy of authority, distribution of work and rules or procedures controlling and coordinating behaviour in the organization: strategy- a key part of all management decision-making activity. Strategy is how the goals can be achieved. Navigating the labour market can be difficult and has risks: leadership- organizations are made up of people and managers must be able to manage people. Can be broken down into two broad categories: specific environment- the environment within a particular organization operates. Shaped by the general environment and includes stakeholders, customers, competitors, suppliers, etc: general environment- the environment shared by all organizations in a society.
