Personality- refers to the structures and propensities inside people that explain their characteristic patterns of thought, emotion and behaviour. Personality creates people"s social reputations- the way they are perceived. Traits- recurring regularities or trends in people"s responses to their environment. Cultural values- shared beliefs about desirable end states or modes of conduct in a given culture: cultural values can influence the development of people"s personality traits, as well as how those traits are expressed in daily life. Ability- the relatively stable capabilities people have to perform a particular range of different but related activities. Five personality dimensions (canoe): conscientiousness- dimension of personality reflecting traits like being dependable, organized, reliable, organized, ambitious, hardworking and persevering. Conscientious employees prioritize accomplishment striving, which reflects a strong desire to accomplish task-related goals as a means of expressing personality. Conscientious people set higher goals and are more committed to meeting these goals compared to unconscientious people.
