Families make promises to one another that would normally not make to strangers: advertisements in newspapers. The nature of an offer: a tentative promise made (subject to a condition) is not binding on the parties until the proposal is accepted, when a valid acceptance takes place, the parties are bound by the agreement. Communication of an offer: offer a tentative promise subject to a condition, rules of offer and acceptance, an offer must be communicated by the offeror to the offeree before acceptance may take place.
