ADMS 3930 Lecture 4: Management - Week 4
Document Summary
Planning: failure of planning is a result of it not being done well. Planning what stores to shop from, planning what to wear the next day etc. Plans may be made but they could be bad plans or executed poorly. Planning is important b/ the mission and vision statements are general which lack the details required to achieve the goals. Plans produce extensive foundation for purpose to be achieved. No set formula for success; meaning improvements in training can be obtained by e(cid:454)a(cid:373)i(cid:374)i(cid:374)g (cid:449)hat (cid:449)as a(cid:272)hie(cid:448)ed/(cid:449)hat (cid:449)as(cid:374)(cid:859)t a(cid:272)hie(cid:448)ed and diagnosing the reason for those outcomes. Implementation of the plan is the greater challenge. Good implementation can make a decent plan work.
