Included areas that were ideal for agricultural production. Non-western examples - mesopotamia, syria, jordan, lebanon, nile valley. South west asia cultivation of olives, wheat. South east asia rice, domestication of pig. North/south/central americas cultivation of maize, potato, beans. One becomes dependent on one food source. Do not get all the nutrients they need. Monocrop dependent on one food source. Malnutrition if something negative happens to the one food crop.
