What we see in states is that people that live in states specialize on skill. Nation? collection of people which share a common language, a world view and ancestry. Nations are invested in a collective identity. Anderson: nation is an imagined political community. Members of even the smallest nation wouldn"t even know everyone in their nation. Many of us believe we are a part of their nation but we will never really know everyone in their nation which makes in imagined. They have a particular shape and behind that nation lies another nation. Leaders are invested in devoting a world view and nding a common language, identity, and ancestry. We see that they have debates and con icts about who belongs and who doesn"t.
