Darwinian theory embraced by karl marx (1816-1883) Saw that the application of laissez-faire economics had given rise to large amount of working class individuals (proletariats) They worked in factories or fields producing wealth but not actually acquiring any of it. They were paid okay wages, and all the extra labor they performed was taken advantage of by the capitalists or the bourgeois class: bourgeois class were gaining all material and social benefit produced from the industrial revolution.
