A police van pulls up at the street and asks him to come up to the van. Fitzroy was upset since he was not doing anything suspicious. When the police continued to follow him, his hand gesture hit the chest of the female officer and he was charged with assault and causing disorder. The justice of the case realized the police created the incidence. The charges were dropped in the end, and even though there was no crime, there is a criminal charge. The police thought to do this because fitzroy fit the description for a typical criminal. December 2013: york university students decided to skip their exams and makeup a story about being robbed to the police. If you make a false claim of crime, this in itself is an offence.
