Increased antagonism and hostility between the public and police. ^-when the money is invested into this particular institution, there is a lack of funding for other institutions. Policing in the canadian context differs from policing in other parts of the world. Due to issues of accountability, police officers take extra measures to ensure proper conduct in the way they behave. Media is an invaluable source of information and knowledge. Media representations of policing limits our knowledge to a very small and narrow one. Issues of policing is oftentimes more complex than we suspect-->binary thinking. Issues dealing with human society, with its multiple institutions and formations of power, is very complex. Binary thinking is the act of seeing two issues in opposite terms. In opposition, constellation thinking looks at issues in its complexity and identifies the different features and aspects of the same phenomenon.
