Other critics have argued that te resilience of prison in the states and beyond as well as the prison industrial complex can only be understood in relation to this deeply embedded racism in the us. More than 60% of people in prison in the us are racial minorities. 1 in 10 black men will do time in prison on any given day. And these trend have intensified since the war on drugs and have impacted racial minorities in the us. More than 2/3 of people in the united states are people of colour. 1969: fired from ucla because of her social activism and her membership in a communist party. She was placed on the fbi"s most wanted list the following year. She supplied guns to the black panthers who carried out a courtroom shooting.
