You have to figure out in the poem whose side milton is on. The miller"s tale -> fablio (explain how it is a fablio like explain what happens in the tale) *define the sonnet forms (tell the major features of the sonnet) Identify a writer or 2 of the sonnets we looked at in class. Often the lady is hard to get for example already married or inaccessible at all. In english, they are written in iambic pentameter (usually 14 lines) e. g. is one form we looked at 1. Is a form of a sonnet (3 four line stanzas or quatrains and then has a final closing couplet which has a powerful rethinking of what"s come before) There"s a turn or volta (shift in perspective) *the more detail, the better e. g. time it was written in. Pastoral poems (sheppard"s, goat herds, country girls); passing a sheppard to his love. Idealization of the simple rural life or nature is pastoral poems.
