An example of what toronto started to do, create porous rainwater holder with grass/marshes in them. Toronto tried to clean ontario-got rid of pollution on beaches. Toronto port used for import of grains and shipped from railway cars form them. True for all old cities of the world. Now due to truck traffic, the railways are abandoned. Failure of trying to connect people with the beaches and waterfront.
